Finally!! The long awaited Samuel Adams Imperial Series has arrived. Since this historic Boston Brewery brewed its first lager, Sam Adams has continued time & time again to create the perfect combinations of flavor & hops. The reason for the creation of the Imperial Series is to offer a more refreshing, bigger, & flavorful taste, which has style, as well as class. I am very fond of white beers (Witbier), and Sam Adams offers a great conclusion to my search for the perfect brew. So, wit this being said I was able to enjoy Samuel Adams Imperial White. Not at all to be confused with Samuel Adams White Ale, this is a very classic Witbier style. Flavored with both orange & coriander, a zesty orange aroma is the first impression. The taste offers a bit of a lemony appeal as well as a touch of grassy hops. This classic taste is not to be toyed with, although most witbiers will be on average around 8.5% all/vol; this Imperial White packs a punch at 10.5% alc/vol, so sip slowly. Carmel malt is also detected that blends well with banana and orange, in which together form a very tasty fruity flavor, but with the high amount of alcohol and flavor, this Imperial White comes out very robust. Overall, I am very impressed with this classic favorite, so it should definitely be consumed, as well as the other Imperial Brews Samuel Adams has to offer. Relax, be careful, and enjoy.
