2008 The Squid's Fist

The squids Fist is an intriguing red wine from Australia.  It is comprised of 60% Sangiovese and 40% Shiraz.  Complex flavors of cherry and plum give way to tar, currant, and black pepper.  The wine has a velvety, slightly earthy finish that goes on and on.  This wine is the perfect blend of old and new world style.
